Please join Dr. Spooner and Falcon Park Dental Group for a Bonfils Blood Drive to Honor of her Father's Passing by Helping Others – SATURDAY, October 20th 10-2

This is my dad, Tom Spooner.  He suffered a traumatic brain injury on September 8, 2015 while wakeboarding during our family vacation in Texas.  He had 2 emergency brain surgeries and was in the ICU for 17 days.  Once he was stable enough, Dad was transported to Denver.  Overall, he spent 4 months in the hospital and fought a long hard fight.  During this time, Dad’s underlying disease, myleofibrosis, kicked into high gear.  He had 15 transfusions throughout his treatment to help with anemia and troubles clotting.  These transfusions gave Dad the opportunity to continue to rehab and try to get stronger to come home.  Unfortunately, Dad’s myleofibrosis took over his body and transformed to a leukemia that took his life very quickly. He passed away on February 5, 2016.

This experience has made my family, friends, and myself more aware of the importance of blood and how crucial it is to giving people a chance at life.  Please join us in donating to the Tom Spooner Memorial Drive (A943) so we can continue to save lives just as my Dad was given the chance to continue to fight for health multiple times.

The blood drive will be held at Falcon Park Dental Group on Saturday, October 20th from 10-2:00.  Each donator will have a scheduled appointment.  We will provide refreshments and snacks so please bring your family and friends to come see the office and enjoy some good food as we all join together to help others.

If you are interested in donating, please e-mail Kari @ kuschelk@pacden.com with the subject BLOOD DRIVE. She will send you the pre-screening questions and if you qualify and are available on these dates, we will get your contact information in order to schedule your appointment.

Dr. Spooner and Falcon Park Dental Group thank you for joining us in supporting our community!
